The weight of a 8 LB Wrapper tm is suitable for a 140 LB to 160LB and over person. DreamCatcher Blanket's research shows that current industry standards many OT's and medical professionals use when figuring starting weight on a shoulder wrap or lap pad is 5% body weight. This is of course, different than the formula used in weighting blankets. If you, an OT or other professional knows the user responds to deep heavy pressure well, you may want to increase that weight by a few pounds.
